Jens' Ink Brushes + DEMO
These Photoshop only brushes create nice graphic lines that look like you scanned real ink.
Includes a DEMO on how I use this brush set.
The brushes are photoshop only.
INSTRUCTIONS:
In the Wacom pen settings I have the "Tip Feel" option set to the second most sensitive setting. (see last image in gallery)
The brushes use Photoshop's "bristle tips". These brushes use a 3d cone as brush tip. The line changes when you hold your wacom pen at a different angle. This makes your lines feel more natural.
Your main weapons should be the "drawbrush" and the "scratchy detail" brush. 95% of the drawings in the preview image were done with these two brushes.
The "wispy hair" brush makes some nice graphic flowy hair, like the guy with the Elvis hair on the right.
The "dottedbrush" creates dots, to create pointillism shadows or dotted details or line ends.
Then there are some thicker brushes, to fill in areas, or to make interesting graphic shapes.
Hope you like them, and be sure to send you the work you do with them to me on Instagram or Twitter!
WARNING: There's a small bug in photoshop when using dual screens. When you switch back and forth between photoshop using the mouse, it will break the brush tip. To avoid this make sure you go back to photoshop by clicking with your wacom pen and not the mouse.
